Overview

Our EZ Air Flex Grinding/Welding Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) is a complete particulate system intended for industrial applications where combined respiratory, eye and face protection are required. This welding helmet features a durable flip-up visor to expose a grind shield below that maintains respiratory protection while workers can continue grinding or inspecting welds. It is a motorized, Lithium-ion battery operated system that provides a constant supply of fresh, filtered air over the user’s face. At an APF level of 25, it creates an optimal protective pressure inside the respirator head top keeping away particulates (dust, steel, manganese, stainless steel, chromium, galvanized steel, cadmium, and lead). Complies with ANSI Z87.1+ for face-shield/eye protection. CE certified. NIOSH approved

 

 

Key Features:

 

  • Shield: Made from DuPont® super tough flame-retardant nylon, the shield withstands extreme temperatures without cracking or deforming. It accommodates safety glasses underneath and includes adjustable Pera-Lok locking ratcheting headgear with a replaceable ultra-soft sweatband. The viewing area measures 41.2 in² (265.6 cm²).
  • Airflow: The Air Train directs air over the head and across the breathing zone to minimize fogging, with user control over airflow direction.
  • Blower: The ABS lightweight blower weighs 1.7 lbs. (0.77 kg) and features an 8-speed fan providing a minimum airflow of 170 LPM (6 CFM). It includes audible, visual, and vibration alarms for low battery, flow issues, or missing filter.
  • Battery: The 7.4V rechargeable lithium-ion battery operates up to 8 hours on a full charge (minimum speed) and recharges in 4-6 hours, with a lifespan of up to 350 cycles.
  • Filter: Equipped with a NIOSH-approved HEPA filter that captures 99.97% of particulates larger than 0.3 micrometers.
  • Certifications: Complies with ANSI Z87.1+ for face-shield/eye protection, CE certified, and NIOSH approved.
